Gift Orban sits on top of the Süper Lig scoring chart after seven rounds of the 2026-27 season. The 23-year-old Nigeria forward has seven league goals for Amed, according to Yalla Shoot data updated on 16 October 2026, level with Trabzonspor's Mohamed Salah but listed first in the ranking. Behind them, five players have six goals each, among them Victor Osimhen, Vedat Muriqi and Dušan Vlahović, which makes this one of the most star-studded scoring races in Europe.

This player profile looks at what is driving Orban's start: his minutes per goal, his share of Amed's goals, where the club stands in the Süper Lig table, and how he compares with the big names around him.

Gift Orban's season in numbers

Orban has played in all seven of Amed's league matches, totalling 509 minutes, an average of about 73 minutes per game. He has scored seven goals, none from the penalty spot, and added two assists. His average match rating in the data is 7.50.

A goal every 73 minutes equals 1.24 goals per 90. Crucially, all seven have come without penalties. Among the players at the top of the chart, that makes Orban the leading non-penalty scorer in the division: Salah has six excluding his one penalty, and no other player in the league has more than six goals in total.

Share of team goals at Amed

Amed have scored 17 league goals in seven matches, the second-highest total in the Süper Lig behind Fenerbahçe (19). Orban's seven goals represent 41 percent of that total. Including his two assists he has been directly involved in nine of the 17, or 53 percent, more than half of everything Amed have scored.

He is the only Amed player in the top ten, so the dependence on him is clear. The defence has also held up well, conceding nine goals, for a goal difference of plus eight.

Amed in the Süper Lig table

Amed are third with 14 points from four wins, two draws and one defeat. They are unbeaten in their last five league matches, with three wins and two draws in that run. Third place currently carries a Europa League qualification label.

Orban against the big names

On pure efficiency, Orban is not the fastest scorer in the chart. Victor Osimhen has six goals in only 316 minutes for Galatasaray, about one every 53 minutes, and has added three assists from five appearances. Dušan Vlahović has six in 369 minutes for Beşiktaş, roughly one every 62, and Vedat Muriqi six in 405 for Fenerbahçe, about one every 68. Mohamed Salah has seven goals and three assists for Trabzonspor in 558 minutes, a goal roughly every 80 minutes, and his ten goal involvements are the most in the top ten.

What separates Orban is the combination of volume and availability. He has played every league game for Amed, and none of his goals has needed a penalty. Osimhen and Vlahović have missed time, with five appearances each, so whether they can sustain their rates over more minutes will shape the race.

Fenerbahçe have two players in the top ten, Muriqi and Mason Greenwood, with ten goals between them, and Çorum FK also place two, Kyziridis and Ramírez.

Background: Amed in the Süper Lig

Amed, based in Diyarbakır in south-eastern Turkey, are competing among the established Istanbul clubs at the top of the table, which makes their position after seven rounds notable. The Süper Lig this season has 18 clubs, with the bottom three places marked for relegation, and the campaign runs over 34 rounds, so the early standings can still move a long way.

What's next for Orban and Amed

With 27 league rounds remaining, Amed's task is to stay in touch with Galatasaray, Beşiktaş and Fenerbahçe, and Orban's goals will be central to that. In the scoring race, he faces a group of forwards with higher per-minute rates, so continuing to play every week and score without penalties will be his edge.
